Welcome to thoughtful, organic beauty
Hello Joyous is an organic, plant-based, sustainable beauty brand here to bring more joy to your day.
First of all, if you're reading this, you're probably pregnant, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
When I was pregnant with my daughter Vienna I had some anxieties creep up out of nowhere, which is completely normal for your first pregnancy. There is so much unknown. Every single change in your body is completely new! This can happen in your second and third pregnancy too because each pregnancy can be completely different.
As I was getting closer and closer to my due date, I had a gazillion thoughts and questions in my mind wondering ...
Again, this is pretty normal, especially for a first-time pregnancy. If your anxiety and worry is preventing you from living your life, then it's a good idea to speak with a professional who can help you.
Towards the end of my second trimester, I knew there was a better way to deal with these thoughts and that's when affirmations became a part of my pregnancy as you may have read in Vienna's Birthing Story.
My sweet hubs created affirmation cards for me, which I still have. I kept them in my jacket pocket for easy access any time I had a worry pop into my mind. I had them at my birth too of course. When I was in active labour, I just kept repeating in my mind:
YOU CAN DO THIS JOY!
I did have a natural childbirth and I know these affirmations helped me get through. However, I truly believe that every person experiences pain differently. The affirmations, my birthing team, and the fact I felt very centered helped me throughout my labour and delivery of Vienna.
The following five affirmations made a dramatic difference in my life and Vienna's birth. I truly hope they help you too! Please feel free to print them off and use them.
Once you have your sweet bambi or bambino in your arms, you will be completely and absolutely submerged into an ocean of love! Holding Vienna for the first time with Walker by my side was the most magical moment of my entire life. I get teary-eyed just writing this. :)
