Welcome to thoughtful, organic beauty
Hello Joyous is an organic, plant-based, sustainable beauty brand here to bring more joy to your day.
When I posted this on Instagram last week, someone commented it looked like sunshine. Which is funny, because I almost called it "Sunshine Smoothie Bowl"!
This smoothie bowl really does taste like peaches and cream because I added a whole lotta peaches and a full can of coconut milk for the dairy-free creaminess. I absolutely love coconut milk because it has a naturally sweet flavour and it's packed with good fats called medium chain triglycerides which support brain health, your immune system, and these fats are less likely to be stored as fat.
I used my fancy new Bluicer machine by Breville (same brand as my toaster and kettle both of which I've had several years). What is a Bluicer you ask? Well, if a blender and a juicer had a baby, it would be a bluicer! I love the convenience of it. I juiced the oranges first and then used them as the liquid base of this smoothie along with the coconut milk.
Making your own OJ is the best way to maximize how much vitamin C you get. Oranges typically have around 70mg of vitamin C but much of it is lost in with store-bought juices. I've always said if you're going to drink juice, only freshly extracted juice will do.
As for my smoothie toppings, which are super important because you need that extra chew and a little crunch. I added cashews, shredded unsweetened coconut, kiwi, banana, peaches, raspberries and granola.
Normally my smoothie recipes serve one, but I made this for Walker and I to share so it serves 2 generously and these are big smoothie bowls! My daughter Vienna loved it too. I mean, what's not to like!?!
This recipe is...
Here's my recipe for Peaches and Cream Smoothie Bowl for two!
Serves 2
When peaches are in season and you can make this whole bowl with fresh peaches it is out of this world! Of course, it's still yummy with frozen peaches too anytime of year.
I made this recipe using Breville's Bluicer which is a blender and a juice extractor combined in one machine. It's super duper convenient.
Optional: Add a scoop of your favourite protein powder!
If you want to make it even thicker, you could also add an avocado if you like. That's a wonderfully healthy way to thicken a smoothie. You could also add a protein powder to this if you wanted to. I would opt for a plain or vanilla-based protein powder.
Enjoy!

Blending the whole orange gets all of its wonderful nutrients, and I love it, but not everyone enjoys that much pith and zest. Can't wait to try you recipe. Thanks!
